Privacy policy

Who we are

tradiepricer provides embeddable pricing calculators for trade businesses (“tradies”). This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

Account holders (tradies): your email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), business name, contact details, and billing information. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe — we never see your full card number.

Customers of our account holders (calculator users):when you request a quote through a calculator embedded on a tradie’s website, we collect the details you submit — typically your name, email, phone number, postcode and the job details you enter — together with the page you submitted from. We collect this on behalf of the tradie whose calculator you used, and we share it with them so they can contact you about your job.

How we use it

• To provide the service: storing quotes and leads, and delivering them to the tradie.
• To send transactional email (lead notifications, quotes, account and billing email).
• To operate, secure and improve the service, including preventing abuse.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use lead details for marketing.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run tradiepricer: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email delivery). Some of these providers store data outside Australia. Lead details are shared with the tradie whose calculator collected them; how that business then handles your information is subject to their own privacy practices.

Retention and security

We keep personal information while the related account remains active, and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed. Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted to the account that owns it.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you — including lead details you submitted through an embedded calculator — by emailing support@tradiepricer.com.au. If your enquiry is about a quote you requested from a specific business, contacting that business directly is usually fastest.
